Breedon is pleased to welcome former School Business Manager Dan Bacon to the team. Dan, joining as Business Development Manager will assist with our continued growth in the Education sector and from his previous experience, particularly Derbyshire.
Andrew Springhall, Breedon’s FD, welcomed Dan saying, “I first met Dan a few years back at one of the ABLE conferences and was immediately impressed with his professionalism and attitude to running a school like a business. Since then we developed a strong working relationship with his former school and Trust and Dan always spoke highly of the services offered and workmanship from Breedon. Ben and I are extremely excited about him joining the team and helping us grow Breedon even further.”
Dan has 18 years experience of working in Education for Derbyshire County Council (DCC) and latterly SBM at Brooklands Primary School in Long Eaton. Dan added, “During my time with DCC I developed strong relationships with a large number of Derbyshire schools, visiting them regularly to discuss and understand their budgets, before moving to a single school to manage everything non-teaching. It was here that I transferred the school away from the LA for independent purchasing (Option 1) of site services successfully. It was then I began using Breedon and have been enormously impressed by the professional, efficient and reliable services they offer. I am very excited to be part of Breedon’s journey to grow and continue to offer excellent levels of service to all customers.”
